Health Care Women

As a mother of six, I am very lucky to have health care women like my own mother who played an integral part in my childhood. Of course, the cost of health care and health care women's salaries are extremely helpful but I also take pride in my ability to play the role of the breadwinner. That is to say, I take responsibility for my family and especially my daughter. Now that my little girl is grown up and planning her own future, I am happy to realize that I can have peace of mind knowing that she has someone to turn to if she gets sick or has an accident. The great thing is that I do not have to leave her in the hands of anyone, especially her own mother.

As a health care worker, I get to help women who come to me because they no longer have the strength to look for and secure their own health care. When they become ill or injured, they no longer have the drive to learn how to care for themselves. They rely on me for all the help they need. And when I give help, I make sure I provide for the best possible outcome for them. I always make sure that each patient gets the best possible medical care.

The most common tasks women who work with us to undertake include carrying out invasive breast exams and mammograms. These health care functions are essential to detect cancer and keep our breast tissues and milk supply safe. Women also give birth to babies and nurse them. They deliver them naturally by Cesarean section and attend to any emergency that may arise. And they educate and promote healthy lifestyles for their babies and their families.

Most women know the feeling of anxiety and frustration that can creep up on them at times. But, being a caregiver does not mean you cannot be affected by the same feeling. It only means that you react differently to it. I am learning to manage these feelings because I know that it is necessary to do so in order to help my patients stay healthy and give their children the best possible start in life.

Another very important job is to become an administrator or supervisor. Some women are not suited for this position because of their emotional nature. But I want to ensure that all my patients feel like they are cared for. This is an important skill I need to possess because I run a health care facility.

Many women have administrative duties as well. One of my administrative assistants just graduated from college a few years ago. She was working as a financial officer for a construction company. Her daily duties included preparing reports, managing the accounts payable department and preparing statements and pay slips for the employees. This job is so much more interesting than sitting behind a desk.

I encourage anyone who has the desire and ability to help others to consider becoming an administrative assistant. Working in a health care facility is extremely demanding physically and emotionally. Being an administrative assistant helps you to alleviate some of these hardships. This position can be found easily by searching on the internet.

You could apply to several jobs. Try to determine which one best suits your personality and skills. If you are good with numbers then you might consider applying to work in a cash management office. Or if you are very organized and keep accurate records then you might want to apply to work in a billing office. No matter where you choose to work it is a great feeling to help someone in need.
